Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. - Candidates for Governor

Written by Subject: Arizona's Top News
Debates on HORIZON

A special hour-long debate with the candidates for Arizona Governor. Invited to attend: Governor Jan Brewer (Republican), Terry Goddard (Democrat), Barry Hess (Libertarian) and Larry Gist (Green).

Bottomline: Barry Hess kicked ass! But that is not what you will hear from the Lame-Stream Media, the media that is sooooo last century. But you can watch it here (Above link goes straight to the debate video.

I can't count how many time I buried my face into a couch pillow out of embarrassment for the Republican and Democratic candidates. Barry would have won if he only stated his name. But he did a great job with a very efficient use of his time and allowed the R & D to demonstrate EXACTLY what is wrong with government... these people run it.

Even the novice Green Party candidate shined as he witnessed the meltdown.
When you watch this, expect the feeling you get when you watch a YouTube of a 15 year old with a skateboard on the roof of a house when he says, "Hey, Watch this"!

(Bonus: The first half of the following radio program is KFYI Radio interview with Jim Sharpe talking about Barry's Debate and the implosion of Jan Brewer and Barry Hess' domination... and then, The Baseline Killer)

Let's be real here or strictly honest not just plastic in what we are looking at in this debate because it is important not to mislead the people of Arizona: I watched and listened to this debate. One’s perception as to which candidate should Arizona vote to become governor out of the four candidates is just as good as anyone depending on which political party the listener/viewer is identified with. That being the case, I have the following non-party assessment:

Democrat candidate Goddard was just an ugly sour grape with no plan for Arizona. He was just there to taunt Brewer, the incumbent Republican governor. Brewer was fine defending, except that she believed that by being mean-spirited in the approach of solving the problem of undocumented immigrants in Arizona would bring her good luck. She doesn’t seem to know that it is bad luck … rewind to 2004 when the Democrats took over because the Republicans attempted to criminalize illegal aliens and shoot them dead!

Green party’s Gist was too green to participate in this debate. He responded to questions from here to nowhere – nothing of significance to remember at all. And here comes Barry Hess, the Libertarian individualist candidate who doesn’t want to save Arizona’s badly run political system but only to save all the individual persons of Arizona from the government by abolishing the System if he could when elected governor, including abolishing property and income taxation. He sounded like a candidate of rage against anything government! Hess’ impossible dream runs in the blood of all Libertarian paper revolutionaries through and through as exemplified by Hess himself. Somebody has to tap Hess on the head and wake him up to reality. As a moderate Libertarian of reason – not an emotional extremist that gives a bad name to the cause of Liberty – I feel sad that no one did. But I called relatives in Arizona and gave them a rundown of the future that looks bad because Arizonians are boxed in electing only one of those four badly handicapped candidates for governor – a sad story.

Barry that was fantastic! Thank you so much for putting yourself and your ideas out there. I felt kind of sorry for Jan Brewer. She obviously had a bad case of nerves. It must have been absolutely terrifying for her engaging in a battle of wits without a weapon.

I also find it ironic that the current AZ Attorney General's gubernatorial campaign -- as well as Jan's -- is literally financially backed by every criminal in the state.  That really is honor amongst thieves!

Actually, the Republican and the Democrat were not invited.   They are mandated to attend in exchange for the over $1.7 million in political public welfare they have each received for their campaigns to oppose the privately funded Libertarian and Green candidate.  And what was the even, the highly publicized and publicly  paid for "debate."
