Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, an anti-war libertarian who has clashed with his rivals over Iraq, raised more than $5 million for his White House bid in the last three months. [Thomas was first to report this, but this is nice too.]

Yes, indeed. The average contribution was $40, so doing the math, that equals over 125,000 contributors.

What is really impressive about this is this is over 20% more money than Romney raised (if press accounts are to be believed (only $4 million after you remove the $6 million he contributed to his campaign himself).

And I would bet the contributor's amounts will average under $50 each, which means an enormous number of contributors.
