Tom Delay's Party Refusing Donations?

An amusing, though unconfimed, account from Ron Paul Meetup group member Amanda on Oct 25:

I don't mean to focus on the negative but I thought some of you would like to hear about an experience my mother had with the National GOP this very morning. Early this morning my mother got a phone call from the National GOP asking for donations and my mom (being a little naive about what the money would actually support) said of course. The caller then said, "I would just like to ask you a few questions first." Then proceeded to ask my mom what presidential candidate she supported. My mom of course said Ron Paul and before she could say anything else the caller hung up on her! Now I know the media and the establishment as a whole wants to keep every possible piece of attention geared away from Dr. Paul, but to not even want to accept money from his supporters... My mom got a chuckle and thought it was pretty funny and so did I at first but the more I think about it, the angrier I have gotten! So if any of you were by chance thinking about donating to the National Republican party, THINK AGAIN!!!

Yeah. Don't worry about gifts to national, Amanda. Here's hoping Mom wrote a check to Ron Paul instead!
