Arizona Gold Camping Trip - Sat & Sun March 10th and 11th

Written by Subject: Just For Fun!
We're leaving 'The Farm' at about 11am Saturday Morning, 41.5 mi, 53 mins, (Map Below) to where we are going to be camping Sat. afternoon thru Sunday. 9am Sunday we will be taught various methods of obtaining Gold, for at least 5 hours.

A young, but experienced and equipped, Ron Paul supporter/activist, Jamie, has agreed to train us on various methods of getting Gold into your pocket. Those that wish to learn a new skill are welcome. Those that wish to work for 5 hours will get their equal share of what is produced.

This is a fun educational trip into the B E A U tiful Arizona Desert at a very nice time of the year. Several families with their children will be attending so we are asking that everyone keep their safety in mind. I will be bringing the FreedomsPhoenix RV as close to the work site as possible, along with a utility trailer loaded with my 4W ATV and my personal creature comforts.

Saturday afternoon and evening will be for relaxing and fun camping with friends. But after Sunday breakfast we will be expected to pay attention to the instructions and work, or stay out of the way.

I am told that there will also be places to shoot. Those that have expressed an interest in learning some firearm basics are also welcome to take advantage of this opportunity Saturday Afternoon with people that are safety conscience and trained.

It was very nice of Jaime and his friends to offer this exciting chance to learn something new and give us a chance to have a relaxing weekend not too far away.

Sooooo, the only requirements are Fun, Relaxation and Safety.

Remember, we leave the Hancock's at about 11am and just spend the afternoon setting up camp for a pleasant environment. Fortunately the weather is likely to be very nice with a high of about 70 with an overnight low of about 45 (be sure to be able to sleep warmly).

It's too cold to worry about Snakes and other Reptiles (Mountain Lions??? that's what the guns are for :)

(Don't worry... we'll be lucky to even see some tracks. But I wouldn't advocate allowing small children to wonder around the desert unattended)

This is also a good opportunity for many of us to check our "Bug Out Bag/Camping Gear" list. You need to take care of your own needs and comfort... I'm on break :)

Follow the road down to the creek/river and you'll find us camped out. In or very near the area inside the red circle.

(Jamie's instructions are as follows - "North on I-17 pat Black Canyon City to the Bumble Bee exit (#248). Make the left to go under the freeway for a mile or 2 until the pavement ends... turn left onto the dirt road ("Maggie Mine Road"... that sounds promising :) after about a mile you'll come to a concrete post... go past that to the next Concrete Post (2nd Concrete post) and take a right onto a dirt road that goes to the River/Creek/Wash... sand (depends on the time of year and waterfall)
