Republican debate in Detroit: What you need to know 

DETROIT -- As Republican contenders for the presidential nomination head to Detroit, here's a guide of everything you need to know about Thursday's debate.

The essentials

The Republican primary debate takes place on March 3 at 9 p.m. It will be held at the Fox Theatre and be broadcast on Fox News and online at www.foxnews.com.

Who will be there?

Unless one of them drops out after Super Tuesday, the five remaining candidates left seeking the Republican presidential nomination are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Ben Carson. The debate is a homecoming for Carson, who was born in Detroit.

Moderators

The Fox News moderators for this debate are Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace. Kelly and Trump have a running feud stemming from an earlier debate, where Kelly asked tough questions and Trump responded by saying Kelly had "blood coming out of her wherever."

When Fox backed Kelly, Trump refused to appear in its Iowa debate. Last week he declined to appear on a panel she would host due to what his campaign said was a scheduling conflict. But Kelly indicated on Twitter that Detroit was still on.
