Most East Ghouta Civilians Liberated

On February 25, Syrian and allied forces began liberating East Ghouta civilians - held captive as human shields by US-supported terrorists since 2013, falsely called "rebels."

Around 80% of the enclave is now freed from their control, just a matter of time before remaining terrorists are either routed or voluntarily agree to be transferred to other parts of Syria.

According to Russian reconciliation center in Syria spokesman General Vladimir Zolotukhin, most entrapped civilians are now free.

The exodus continues at a slower pace, Russia largely coordinating it, hot meals, clean drinking water and medical treatment as needed provided liberated Syrians.

According to the center's latest information, over 87,000 enclave civilians are now free, much smaller numbers still held hostage by US-supported terrorists.

Testimonies by liberated Syrians attest to the horrors they've endured, including starvation, beatings amounting to torture, other abuses, and witnessed executions, ignored by Western governments and media - pretending it's not happening through silence.

Nobel Prize for Literature recipient Naguib Mahfouz condemned anti-Syrian propagandists saying:

"They are liars. And they know that they are liars. And they know that we know that they are liars. Even so, they keep lying, and very loudly so."

It's how things are in the run-up to imperial wars and while ongoing - disinformation drowning out truth-telling, notably throughout the Syrian conflict.

Government forces captured an al-Nusra underground command center, including a three km-long tunnel equipped with communication equipment.

Scores of terrorists are surrendering daily, abandoning their foreign-supplied heavy weapons.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said three attempts by terrorists to use CWs in recent days were foiled.

He warned of possible incidents coming to be falsely blamed on Syrian forces, expressing concern about US-led coalition nations supporting terrorists instead of combating them.

According to Russia's Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Forces commander Igor Kirillov, Syrian forces discovered over 40 tons of toxic substances left behind in areas liberated from terrorists' control.

An amount this large almost surely entered Syria cross-border from one or more neighboring countries - Turkey, Jordan, and/or Israel, not likely Iraq.

Separately on Thursday, the first Persian day of the new year, Iranian leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said "(t)he United States created terrorist groups like Daesh in the region in a bid to distract public attention from the Zionist regime. The United States either does not want or cannot ensure security in the Middle East," adding:

"Iran never sought to meddle in the internal affairs of other countries" - what Washington does all the time worldwide.

Afghans, Iraqis, Libyans, Syrians, Yemenis, Iranians, Palestinians, Somalis, and others attest to its ruthlessness.
