USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group Off Syria's Coast

A previous article quoted Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov, warning about US-supported Free Syrian Army terrorists, plotting another "chemical attack against civilians," explaining:

"According to the information received via three independent channels in Syria, the command of the so-called Free Syrian Army with assistance from the servicemen of US special operations forces is preparing a serious provocation with the use of toxic substance in Deir Ezzor province," adding:

"The staffed video, after it is disseminated in the Western media, should become new grounds for the US-led coalition to carry out a missile strike against Syrian state objects and to justify militants' offensive against Syrian government troops on the eastern bank of Euphrates."

Is another US-staged false flag CW attack coming, Assad to be wrongfully blamed again?

Will US-led aggression against Syrian military and/or other targets follow like earlier after the April 2017 Khan Sheikhoun and April 2018 Douma false flag incidents?

According to a US Department of the Navy report, "(t)he Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (CSG) returned to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea to resume flight operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), June 10" - referring to US-led aggression in Syria and Iraq on the phony pretext of combatting ISIS Washington supports, the report adding:

"Bringing the Harry S. Truman strike group back into the fight against ISIS (sic) sends a powerful message to our partners that we are committed to peace and security in the region (sic), and anywhere threatened by international terrorism."

"Once again we demonstrate the incredible flexibility and capabilities of a carrier strike group; we are combat-proven and ready to answer the call anytime and anywhere to carry out any mission we are directed."

"While in the region, aircraft from Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1's strike fighter squadrons will conduct precision strikes on ISIS targets (sic), highlighting the mobility, flexibility and power projection capability of the US Navy's globally deployed force."

"We will operate and maintain a presence wherever, whenever required to support our regional allies and partners in furthering stability and prosperity around the globe (sic)."

"The Harry S. Truman CSG, which entered the US 6th Fleet area of operations April 18, includes multi-mission capable platforms with strike; ballistic missile defense; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities."

The HST strike group was involved in US-led aggression on Syrian targets in mid-April. Over 100 cruise and air-to-surface missiles were used in the attack - most downed by Syria's air defense systems.

Other US warships and B-1B bombers were involved. Russia failed to intercept and destroy incoming missiles, remaining a passive bystander, shaming itself.

Syria alone acted in its own self-defense - Moscow merely saying the attack wouldn't be "without consequences" - none so far two months later, encouraging Washington and its imperial partners to launch further attacks on Syrian forces ahead.

On Tuesday, Southfront reported that Syrian forces "deploy(ed) additional Russian-made Pantsir-S1 combined short to medium range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon systems to the areas in southern and eastern Syria," citing government sources.

They're positioned in Deir Ezzor province and near Israeli-occupied Golan, likely preparing for more US and/or Israeli aggression.

Separately, the Trump regime imposed new sanctions on five Russian companies and three individuals - falsely accusing them of helping Moscow launch cyberattacks on America's energy grid and infrastructure, no corroborating evidence cited. None exists. No cyberattacks occurred, none planned.

On June 12, the Washington, DC US District Court indicted five Russian and three Syrian businessmen for allegedly sending jet fuel to Syria. Charges included money-laundering.

Assistant Attorney General John Demers turned truth on its head, disgracefully saying "US sanctions on Syria and Crimea thwart Syria's support of terrorism and its pursuit and use of weapons of mass destruction as well as the actions of those who seek to undermine Ukraine's democratic processes and territorial integrity."

Unilaterally imposed US sanctions are illegal. Syria is victimized by US-orchestrated terrorism, not guilty of the high crime.

Washington, NATO, Israel and their rogue allies use banned chemical, biological and radiological weapons, not Syria.

Ukraine is a US-installed, Nazi-infested fascist police state. The US and its allies abhor democracy, tolerating it nowhere at home or abroad.
