The NYT Lying Machine at it Again on Syria

by Stephen Lendman

The Times supports wealth, power and privilege. It's a virtual press agent for US wars of aggression - blaming victims for high crimes committed against them.

The self-styled newspaper of record lied, claiming "(a)t least twice this year, the Syrian military fired Iranian-made artillery shells filled with a chlorine-like substance that oozed poison slowly, giving victims just a few minutes to escape."

"In another attack, Syrian forces dropped a chemical bomb on the top-floor balcony of an apartment building, killing 49 people, including 11 children.

Fact: Throughout years of US aggression, using ISIS and other terrorists as imperial foot soldiers, aided by Pentagon-led terror-bombing, massacring civilians indiscriminately, destroying vital infrastructure - the Times reported none of the above.

Fact: No evidence indicates Syrian use of chemical or other banned weapons any time during years of conflict. Plenty of evidence proves US-supported terrorists used CWs numerous times.

Fact: The Times claim about Syrian use of chlorine-filled artillery shells is a bald-faced lie. The same goes for falsely accusing its forces of "drop(ing) a chemical bomb" on a top-floor apartment balcony.

The Times referred to the alleged April 7 Douma incident - a false flag. Testimonies from medical personnel and eyewitnesses refuted the notion of CWs used. Soil samples evaluated by Russian scientists found no toxic residue.

The incident was orchestrated and staged, fake videos used, a hoax falsely blaming Syria for a non-incident - no one killed or harmed from chemical toxicity.

Claims otherwise by the Times and other disreputable sources were disgraceful bald-faced lies.

The Times said details of the above alleged incidents and others "were uncovered by (the UN Commission of Inquiry - COI - on Syria). But when the commission issued a report on Wednesday, the details were omitted."

A separate article discussed the disgraceful COI report, largely blaming Syria unjustly, ignoring the liberating struggle waged by government and allied forces against US/Israeli-supported terrorists - deserving high praise, not criticism or condemnation.

The Times: The COI "examined how the government of President Bashar al-Assad recaptured eastern Ghouta, the rebel stronghold near the capital, in the first four months of 2018. Mr. Assad's forces laid siege to the area, using bombardments, mass starvation and chemical weapons."

Fact: The campaign by Syrian and allied forces was waged to liberate Eastern Ghouta from US/Israeli supported terrorists - responsible for committing atrocities, including starvation, banned weapons use, torture, assassinations, using civilians as human shields, and other high crimes.

Crimes of war and against humanity were falsely blamed on the Syrian Arab Army. The Times repeated the Big Lie, hard truths consistently suppressed in its reporting on Syria and other US war theaters.

COI reports on Syria throughout the conflict, including its latest one, were hugely biased, supporting imperial interests, suppressing hard truths.

Claiming government and/or allied forces used CWs "in densely populated civilian areas throughout eastern Ghouta" was a bald-faced lie. Not a shred of credible evidence proved it - nothing!

Enclave residents debunked the phony claim. So-called "witnesses" claiming otherwise were al-Qaeda-linked White Helmets, complicit in their high crimes.

The Times, COI, and other disreputable sources suppressed this and other vital information.

They consistently ignore use of chemical, biological, radiological, and other banned weapons by America and Israel in their wars of aggression.
