Contemptuous of Journalism NYT Accuses Trump of Demeaning Congress

Endless NYT Trump bashing for the wrong reasons since he announced his candidacy for president in June 2015, ignoring key right ones, begs the question.

Are Times officials on the take? Are they covertly on the DNC and CIA payroll? 

Are they secretly paid to delegitimize and demonize Trump, making stuff up to manipulate the public mind against him — while ignoring his high crimes of war, against humanity, and service to privileged Americans at the expense of ordinary ones, a hostile agenda the Times supports?

Its daily editions focus obsessively on him, a propaganda campaign to defeat him in November 2020 — advocacy over what journalism is supposed to be, absent on its pages about all major domestic and geopolitical issues.

Accusing him of "demeaning Congress," Times editors called for undemocratic House Dems to "present a case for impeachment focused on Ukraine (sic) and the danger to the 2020 elections (sic)."

By refusing to participate in the sham Ukrainegate House hearings, Times editors falsely claimed it shows "his contempt for the notion that Congress has any authority to hold him accountable (sic)…insisting it is somehow beneath him to participate in a constitutional process (sic)."

Times editors lied claiming he "insist(s) it is somehow beneath him to participate in a constitutional process (sic)."

The unredacted transcript of his conversation with Ukrainian President Zelensky revealed no blackmail threat, no quid pro quo, no conspiracy. 

Zelensky said "I never talked to (Trump) from the position of a quid pro quo. That's not my thing. I don't want us to look like beggars."

He denied that he and Trump ever discussed withholding US aid to Ukraine for political favors.

Former National Security Council senior director for Europe and Russia Tim Morrison said he "reviewed the memorandum of conversation of the July 25 (Trump/Zelensky) phone call that was released by the White House ," adding:

"I want to be clear: I was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed."

Times editors ignored the above reality, instead were over-the-top, claiming refusal by Republicans to ally with the Ukrainegate scam supports "Trump's rejection of Congress's independent authority by showing nothing but indifference to the alarming testimony of credible witnesses (sic), and scorn for public servants who have had the courage to testify (sic) — an attitude that should be infuriating to anyone who expects legislators to honor their oath of office (sic)."

The above rant sounds like surrender to reality. Dems, the Times, and supportive media have no legitimate case against Trump, no chance to remove him from office based on sham charges against him — the ugly circus more likely to help, not harm, his reelection prospect the longer it goes on.

No evidence suggests Russian, Ukrainian, or other foreign interference in the US electoral process — in 2016, earlier or later, a US speciality throughout the post-WW II era, meddling in scores of foreign elections.

Ignored by the Times and other establishment media, it's all about wanting ruling authorities abroad serving US interests. 

The CIA notoriously interfered in scores of foreign elections worldwide – along with countless successful and failed attempts to topple foreign governments by coups and other dirty tricks, Bolivia the latest example last month.

The Times is a lying machine, a propaganda machine hostile to truth and full disclosure on major issues — a disgrace to journalism the way it's supposed to be.

A Final Comment

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova earlier called for US establishment media to apologize for making groundless accusations of Russian US election interference that never happened.

She "referr(ed) to a team of propagandists…who style themselves as journalists. Now they need to make their apologies," adding: 

"I'm not speaking about their feelings toward Trump. The decision on whether they should apologize to him is their domestic matter." 

"However, all this media ragtag, which has been at the forefront of anti-Russian news reporting in the United States, will need to apologize to the US audience and, naturally, to the Russian (people), to the whole country" for  their campaign of Big Lies and deception.

She added that Moscow will analyze, compile, and explain US anti-Russian propaganda in detail, to be sent to the OSCE, other international organizations, and the public to set the record straight.
