Biden Regime Escalates Cold War on Russia

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

The US is an unparalleled bully on the world stage — a menace risking global war by its recklessness.

In short order after replacing Trump by brazen election rigging, hardliners in charge of Biden's agenda are heading toward becoming the most recklessly dangerous regime in US history if the current trend keeps escalating.

They risk turning Cold War on Moscow, China, and other countries hot by their megalomaniacal rage to control planet earth, its resources and populations.

Domestically, they're pushing to mass-jab maximum numbers of unwitting Americans with toxic experimental covid drugs that risk serious irreversible harm to health and no benefits.

After less than three months in office, they increased the chance for war in Europe's heartland, near China's border, in the Middle East and perhaps elsewhere — on top of ongoing US wars by hot and/or other means in multiple theaters worldwide.

On Thursday by executive order, Biden defied reality by "declaring a national emergency (sic) with respect to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States posed by" Russia (sic).

No Russian threat exists to the US or other countries.

So Biden regime hardliners invented what doesn't exist to unjustifiably impose new illegal US sanctions on Moscow.

The hostile to peace action came two days after proposing a meeting with Putin.

Along with expelling 10 diplomats from Moscow's Washington mission — based on phony accusations of spying — Biden regime sanctions were imposed on 32 Russian officials, tech companies and entities for invented reasons.

No legitimate ones ever exist. No Russian US meddling, cyberattacks, or "other acts of disinformation and interference" occurred against the US or other countries — what both right wings of the US war party do repeatedly worldwide.

Russia's ruble and non-ruble denominated debt was targeted — on what's issued by its Central Bank, Finance Ministry, and National Wealth Fund after June 14, 2021.

Separately in cahoots with Brussels, Britain, Canada and Australia, eight Russian officials were sanctioned for alleged involvement in (nonexistent) occupation of Crimea.

A statement by US-controlled NATO expressed "solidarity" with the Biden regime over (nonexistent) destabilizing activities by Moscow.

US colonized Britain and the EU expressed support for actions by Biden regime hardliners that are pushing things for possible direct confrontation with Russia.

No evidence remotely suggests any hostile Russian actions against the US, UK, EU nations, or any others anywhere.

Indisputable evidence shows US responsibility for endless wars on humanity by hot and/or other means at home and abroad worldwide.

Biden regime hardliners are going all-out to destroy relations with Russia.

They're recklessly pushing the envelope to involve Moscow in war on Ukraine by escalated provocations along their border.

Ignoring recklessly dangerous US war on Russia by other means, interventionist Blinken duplicitously said the following:

Washington still "seek(s)  opportunities for cooperation with Russia (sic), with the goal of building a more stable and predictable relationship consistent with US interests (sic)."

Longstanding US policy seeks to transform Russia into a subservient client state.

The same goes for all nations free from the scourge of its imperial control.

In response to hostile US actions on Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the following:

Moscow "repeatedly warned the US about the consequences of its hostile moves that are dangerously raising the level of confrontation between our countries."

Washington is unwilling "to accept the objective reality of a multipolar world in which (its) hegemony is not possible."

"Its aggressive conduct will certainly meet with resolute resistance. There will inevitably be a response to the sanctions."

"Washington must realize that it will have to pay for the degradation of bilateral relations."

"Responsibility for what is happening fully rests with the US."

Washington's envoy John Sullivan was summoned to Russia's Foreign Ministry for what Zakharova said wasn't "a pleasant meeting for him."

According to Tass, he left by a side door without comment, Zakharova adding that talks were "difficult…for the US side."

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemned hostile Biden regime sanctions, vowing a tit-for-tat response, adding:

"It goes without saying that illegal US sanctions" virtually rule out a Putin/Biden meeting — the US side isn't seriously pursuing anyway.

Russian lower house State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Leonid Slutsky said the following:

Washington's "decision to expel Russian diplomats will be followed by relevant retaliation by Russia."

Russian State Duma International Affairs Committee Deputy Chairman Alexei Chepa said Moscow will respond symmetrically to hostile US actions," adding:

"(W)e have a list of (US and other Western entities) which we have tangible issues regarding their tangible interference in our internal affairs, against whom analogous actions will be taken."

Russian upper house Federation Council's Foreign Affairs Committee First Deputy Chairman Vladimir Dzhabarov made similar comments to the above.

Asked if Moscow will respond symmetrically to hostile Biden regime actions, he said "definitely."

"We cannot leave this unnoticed," adding it's up to the Kremlin to decide on specific retaliatory measures.

"(W)e continue behaving in a reserved and quiet manner, but will retaliate…"

Extrajudicial actions by the Biden regime Thursday were expected.

They reflect longstanding US bullying on the world stage against nations unwilling to serve its interests at the expense of their sovereign rights.

Russian/US relations are virtually fractured beyond repair, hardliners in Washington bearing full responsibility for escalated Cold War that risks turning hot if they push things too far.

Bilateral relations are highly likely to worsen ahead.

There's virtually no chance of improving them.

Russia's only option is responding in the only language US hardliners understand.

Good faith diplomatic outreach when undertaken is a waste of time.

It's long past time for Russia to slap the US with a taste of its own medicine short of war.

Toughness is the only language its hardliners understand.

Nothing else registers with megalomaniacal monsters in Washington.
