Russia Responds Meekly to Hostile Biden Regime Actions

When the going gets tough, the tough get going — an operating standard not followed by Russia in response to escalated US-led Western war on the country by other means.

Weakness in response to unacceptable toughness encourages more of the same.

It's long past time for Moscow to deal with the US and West in the only language their ruling regimes understand — reciprocal toughness short of war.

On Thursday, the Biden regime expelled 10 diplomats from Moscow's Washington mission — falsely accusing them of spying.

It imposed illegal sanctions on 32 Russian officials, tech companies and entities for invented reasons — part of escalated US war on Russia by other means.

Everything Russia was accused of by the US, UK and Brussels in recent years was fabricated. Not a shred of evidence supported it earlier or now because none exists.

More unlawful US toughness on Russia and other countries free from from its control always looms.

On Thursday, Russia's ruble and non-ruble denominated debt was targeted — on what's issued by its Central Bank, Finance Ministry, and National Wealth Fund after June 14, 2021.

Biden regime hardliners are going all-out to eliminate normalized relations with Russia entirely.

They aim to draw Moscow directly into war with Ukraine, threatening Europe's heartland if things turn out this way.

They risk direct confrontation with Russia if push the envelope beyond a point of no return.

In response to hostile Biden regime actions, Russia responded meekly, Sergey Lavrov saying 10 of 450 US officials will be expelled from Russia.

In response to 350 Russian diplomats in the US, "the Americans will be 'asked' to bring the number of employees in Russia in line with the number of Russians in the US" — if relations sour further, Lavrov added.

They're already dismal near a breaking point.

Lavrov explained that Moscow could have inflicted "painful measures" on US businesses but decided against it.

So-called Russian "tit-for-tat" was weak-kneed tit in response to tough Biden regime tat — sending the wrong message, encouraging further unacceptable US actions, delaying a likely looming day of reckoning.

According to Lavrov, US and other Western "sanctions were imposed on Russia's sovereign debt and the handling of this debt." 

"For some clear reasons we have no comparable leverage to influence the US on such a scale, although our specialists believe our economy is capable of enduring it." 

"I believe this will be so. We managed to find a way out of any situations in the past and we will find it again."

Separately on Friday, Russia's Foreign Ministry said "(t)latest attack on our country undertaken by the Biden (regime) cannot remain unanswered." 

"Washington, it seems, doesn't want to put up with the fact that in the new geopolitical realities there is no place for unilateral dictatorship."

Largely turning the other cheek in response to US toughness shows weakness, not strength.

Russia has many options to consider in response to escalated US war by other means, along with trying to push Moscow into direct confrontation with Ukraine.

Expelling Biden regime's envoy, other key US officials, and severing official relations would be a good start.

Toughness is the only language Washington and its imperial partners understand.

It's long overdue for Moscow to show backbone enough to inflict pain and draw blood, short of military confrontation.

Anything less is unacceptable.
