Biden Regime to Defend Chinese Territory Against China?

by Stephen Lendman

Hegemon USA invents reasons to maintain a perpetual state of hot and cold wars, including against its own people.

Peace, stability, cooperative relations with other countries, compliance with the rule of law, as well as governance of, by and for everyone equitably are considered anathema notions.

On the world stage, Washington's "rules-based order" replaced the above — its rules in flagrant breach of international, constitutional and its own statute laws.

Its diabolical agenda reflects a megalomaniacal rage to control planet earth, its resources and populations.

In pursuit of what just societies abhor, it hands trillions of dollars to its military/industrial complex, Wall Street, Pharma and other corporate predators.

It agenda comes at the expense of ordinary people at home and abroad — to be used and abused, not respected or served, what's afforded America's privileged class alone, to include its ruling elite.

The South China Sea, Taiwan, and strait separating the breakaway province from the mainland is perhaps the world's major hot spot.

It's because hegemon USA declared nonbelligerent/nonthreatening Beijing public enemy No. One (sic).

Washington virtually breached the letter and spirit of the decades-long one-China principle — the political foundation of Sino/US relations.

Pentagon warships operate menacingly near Chinese territorial waters.

Its global empire of bases threatens China, Russia, Iran and other nations free from its control, ones not bending subserviently to its will.

Days earlier, Pentagon joint chiefs chairman Mark Milley belligerently said "there's no question (about hegemon USA's ability to) defend Taiwan" — China's breakaway province to be rejoined with the mainland to correct a historic error.

The US war department's latest annual report on China's military capabilities dubiously claimed that the PLA's 2027 aim is the "capability to counter the US military in the Indo-Pacific region, and compel Taiwan's leadership to the negotiating table on Beijing's terms (sic)."

Hawkish House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff called for US "strategic clarity" over "strategic ambiguity" on all things Taiwan.

In response to Milley's provocative statement, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin slammed what he called hostile US remarks and actions on Taiwan, adding:

"The Taiwan question bears on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and concerns China's core interests."

"No one should underestimate China's firm determination and will to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity."

"We will never allow anyone or any force to separate Taiwan from the motherland in any way."

Beijing considers all things Taiwan nonnegotiable.

US rage to control parts of the world not its own, including the Indo/Pacific region, risks unthinkable war with China — what Pentagon forces clearly cannot win.

Last month, the imposter in the White House said the US would protect Taiwan against China if conflict erupts, a harebrained remark at a time of escalating tensions.

Last month Chinese President Xi Jinping said "reunification (of Taiwan with the mainland) must be fulfilled."

Wanting it achieved diplomatically, hostile US actions near Chinese territory makes unthinkable war between both nations possible.

On Thursday, Biden regime navy secretary Carlos Del Toro called nonbelligerent China Washington's "most significant pacing threat (sic)," adding:

"China's intent to one day take over Taiwan, either peacefully or through military means, has a most serious impact on our economic security (sic)."

Remarks like the above about China and other US invented enemies are used to push for greater congressional funding of militarism and warmaking than already.

Ignored is that Washington and its imperial partners alone threaten world peace and stability — not China, Russia, Iran and other nations free from its control.

Days earlier, hawkish US senators introduced legislation to provide Taiwan with $2 - 3 billion in annual military aid.

What's likely to be approved will more greatly strain relations with Beijing.

If conflict occurs over the breakaway territory, it'll likely be made-in-the-USA — with potentially devastating consequences if US forces become involved.

What's unthinkable is possible because of Washington's permanent war policy.

In place since preemptively attacking nonbelligerent North Korea in June 1950, it's been official US policy for over 70 years.

It notably remains in place today with no prospect of wanting "to save succeeding generations from the scourge of (global) war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind."
