Zero Chance of Russia and Biden Regime Reaching Accommodation

by Stephen Lendman

Russia surely knows that engaging with either right wing of the US war party diplomatically is a colossal waste of time and energy.

From June to late December last year, Vladimir Putin spoke to the fake Biden three times, once face-to-face, each time achieving nothing positive.

The same goes for Sergey Lavrov's diplomatic outreach to interventionist Blinken, including last Friday in Geneva.

The day before their talks, Blinken in Berlin recited his customary litany of demonizing bald-faced Big Lies about Russia.

Like often before by him, other US/Western officials and their MSM press agents, making stuff up about Russia happens time and again.

Blinken's Russophobic tirade left no doubt about the Biden regime's hostile policy toward Moscow going forward, no doubt that turning a page for improved relations is off-the-table — no doubt that confrontation over accommodation is hard-wired US policy.

It's much the same toward all nations unwilling to sacrifice their sovereign rights to a higher power in Washington.

In response to Blinken's war of words, Russia's Foreign Ministry said the following:

"Instead of taking a pause and concentrating on a concrete response to the questions that were posed in the Russian documents, the White House and its Western allies launched an extremely toxic propaganda campaign…"

They falsely (called) our country an 'aggressor,' an 'opponent of civilized Europe,' and a 'threat' to international stability (sic)."

"The very fact of the State Department publishing such 'instructional guidelines' immediately before the talks between Lavrov and Blinken in Geneva can be called nothing more than an open provocation" to undermine them before held.

"All of (the above) is coupled with incessant threats of 'painful' sanctions designated to drain our domestic economy and solidify a systematic challenge to Russia."

What Moscow is falsely accused of by Blinken, other Biden regime officials, congressional members and their MSM echo chamber apply to hegemon USA and its NATO vassal states — clearly not to nonbelligerent, nonthreatening Russia.

On Friday, Sergey Lavrov said the following:

Russia's experience of working with hegemon USA and its subservient partners "on European security issues contains abundant examples when promises were made but not kept."

It's the longstanding rule, not the exception.

It's clear evidence of US imperial arrogance, of contempt toward nations free from its control, as well as dismissiveness toward the rule of law it breaches with disturbing regularity.

Virtually everything claimed about Russia's policy toward the West and Ukraine "are pure lies," Lavrov stressed.

Blinken found new ways to embarrass himself in Geneva.

He called for "giv(ing) top priority to the issues on the Russia-Ukraine border" where no threat to its security exists.

He and other Biden regime officials "try to make everything depend on the need for 'de-escalation.' "

"This has already become a mantra."

On all things related to this issue, hegemon USA, its NATO vassal states, as well as US-installed puppets in Kiev and NATO headquarters are escalators, clearly not Moscow.

Lavrov further stressed what US/Western officials and international observers know well.

The Russian Federation "never, nowhere, not once threatened the Ukrainian people through its official representatives."

"Meanwhile, (US-controlled) Zelensky's shenanigans" persist.

He publicly called for Ukrainians with Russian roots to go back to the Russian Federation.

Denying them what few rights are enjoyed by other Ukrainians — including the right to speak their language publicly and have Russian language media — barely stops short of violently expelling them.

He called Donbass residents "species," not people.

His actions proved that he and hardliners surrounding him are provocateurs hostile to peace and the rule of law.

"We do not exclude that all that hysteria whipped up by (the US/West) is intended to at least distract from the Kiev regime's determination to totally sabotage the Minsk agreements, if not to provoke Ukraine to undertake (greater) military actions in Donbass" than already, Lavrov stressed.

"I cannot think of any other explanation."

When asked, Russia responds truthfully to Western questions.

As for its military forces, they're internally based, threatening no one.

It's for Moscow to decide where its military is based within its own borders.

Falsely accusing Russia of "assembling too many troops…in the same breath, (US-dominated Western regimes) say that whatever (Pentagon/NATO) troops do in Europe is none of our business."

They stick to this position even when tens of thousands of US-led combat forces are mobilized menacingly along Russia's borders, largely surrounding part of the country in hostile fashion.

Phony claims about an imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine persist despite not a shred of credible evidence suggesting a Kremlin threat to the country or any others.

US-dominated NATO regimes are longstanding aggressors against invented enemies.

Russia is a preeminent peacemaker.

What the world community knows is falsely claimed otherwise by hegemon USA, its war-making partners and MSM cheering section.

A Final Comment

Joined at the hip with all US wars of aggression against invented enemies and hostile actions toward Russia, Britain's foreign office turned truth on its head as follows over the weekend, saying:

"We have (fake, not real) information that indicates the Russian government is looking to install a pro-Russian leader in (Kiev) as it considers whether to invade and occupy Ukraine (sic)."

Western regimes in Washington, London and elsewhere don't even lie well.

Whenever statements like the above are made, no corroborating evidence accompanies them because there is none.

Russophobe Boris Johnson regime's Liz Truss put out the above rubbish, falsely saying:

Fake news "information being released today shines a light on the extent of Russian activity designed to subvert Ukraine (sic), and is an insight into Kremlin thinking (sic)."'

It shines a light on Britain's alliance with hegemon USA's war on Russia by other means that'll turn hot if that's what their ruling regimes intend.
