Joint Hegemon USA/Apartheid Israel Anti-Iran/Anti-BDS Declaration

by Stephen Lendman

On Thursday, the fake Biden and caretaker Israeli PM Yair Lapid signed a joint strategic partnership agreement.

It includes a commitment by both regimes to prevent Iran from developing and producing nuclear weapons it doesn't seek and wants eliminated everywhere — especially arsenals maintained by the empire of lies and apartheid Israel because of the menace they pose.

Once again, the Biden regime threatened nonbelligerent Iran as follows, saying:

Hegemon USA "is prepared to use all elements of its national power to ensure that…Iran (is) never…allow(ed) to acquire a nuclear weapon (sic)," adding:

The empire of lies and forever wars on invented enemies "further affirms (its) commitment to work together with (its vassals) to confront Iran's (nonexistent) aggression and destabilizing activities, whether advanced directly or through (nonexistent) proxies and (nonexistent) terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (sic)."

Hegemon USA and apartheid Israel wage forever wars internally and abroad — what the joint statement ignored.

Since its liberating 1979 revolution, ending a generation of US control, Iran never waged aggressive war on another nation.

Its ruling authorities prioritize regional and world peace over how US-dominated NATO and Israel operate.

Their ruling regimes know that Iran's legitimate nuclear program has no military component.

No evidence suggests a change of policy.

Yet time and again, the empire of lies and apartheid Israel repeat the nonexistent threat of Iran developing nukes.

At the same time, the reality of nuclear armed and dangerous USA and Israel go unmentioned.

In sharp contrast, no Iranian threat exists against any nation — except in self-defense if attacked, the UN Charter right of all countries.

Separately, the US/Israeli joint declaration challenged the global BDS movement — the single most effective campaign against Israeli apartheid ruthlessness — saying the following:

US and Jewish state regimes vow to "continue…work(ing) together to combat all efforts to boycott or de-legitimize Israel" — no matter how legitimately on the right side of history, according to the rule of law.

Pretending to support speech, media and academic freedoms — rights their ruling regimes oppose and want eliminated, they pretended otherwise, including by "firmly reject(ing) (and acting to suppress) the BDS campaign by tools at their disposal."

The Palestinian BDS National Committee responded to what it called a "hate-filled" US/Israeli declaration, saying the following:

Its "propaganda attack on the Palestinian-led BDS movement is only the latest desperate attempt to shield apartheid Israel from growing calls for meaningful accountability in accordance with international law," adding:

"By placing BDS among their top priorities, their declaration simultaneously attests to the fast rising impact of the BDS movement and shreds to pieces the (Biden regime's) already flimsy pretense of respect for freedom of expression and human rights."

Calling BDS activism anti-Semitic is a bald-face Big Lie.

There's nothing anti-Semitic about anti-Zionism, anti-Israel, or promoting boycotts, divestments and sanctions of the apartheid state.

BDS activists oppose Israeli oppression of the Palestinian people, its apartheid viciousness, institutionalized racism, occupation harshness, state terror, preemptive wars, economic strangulation, land theft, ethnic cleansing, mass arrests, gulag imprisonments, torture, targeted killings, suffocating Gazans by slow-motion genocide, and a whole lot of other high crimes — accountability never forthcoming.

BDS promotes nonviolence, respect for the rule of law, along with fundamental human and civil rights — not just for some people, for everyone.

Apartheid Israel is run by Zionist ideologues, religious fundamentalists, and hardline zealots — a fantasy democracy like the US and other Western societies, the real thing not tolerated.

The only chance for Palestinian liberation is for Israel to be held accountable for generations of high crimes against its long-suffering people.

In the US, delegitimizing, prohibiting or equating BDS activism with anti-Semitism is an assault on First Amendment rights — without which all others are threatened.

Yet over 30 US states enacted unconstitutional anti-BDS measures in support of apartheid Israel.

Separately throughout Jewish state history, hegemon USA one-sidedly supported Israel at the expense of fundamental Palestinian rights.

Nothing changed after undemocratic Dems usurped power in 2020.

Arab American Institute (AAI) executive director, Maya Berry, stressed it, saying:

Like its predecessors, the Biden regime turns a blind eye to Israeli human rights abuses against Palestinians.

"No other country (is) allowed to do what Israel does without political repercussions it should face on the world stage."

"And the principal protector in that regard is" hegemon USA — at the expense of Palestinian rights and well-being.
