Nobel Hypocrisy Updated

Alfred Nobel was a wealthy 19th century Swedish-born chemist, engineer, inventor of dynamite, armaments manufacturer and war-profiteer.

Prizes awarded annually in his name, including for peace, reflect an attempt to remake his tarnished image late in life.

Since first announced in 1901, the Peace Prize often went to notorious war criminals, including:

Henry Kissinger;

Shimon Peres;

Yitzhak Rabin;

Menachem Begin;

FW de Klerk;

Al Gore;

The Dalai Lama, a covert CIA asset;

Kofi Annan, a reliable imperial war supporter;

UN Peacekeeping (Paramilitary) Forces involved in fostering conflicts more than resolving them;

Elie Wiesel, a hawkish Islamophobe;

Norman Borlaug, whose "green revolution" wheat strains killed millions;

Medecins Sans Frontieres, co-founded by rabid war hawk Bernard Kouchner; 

Woodrow Wilson who broke his pledge to keep "us out of war;"

Jimmy Carter who backed an array of tyrants and drew Soviet Russia into years of war in Afghanistan — what that took a million or more lives;

George C. Marshall, instrumental in creating NATO and waging preemptive war against nonbelligerent North Korea;

Theodore Roosevelt, notorious for once saying: "I should welcome almost any war, for I think this country needs one;

Barack Obama, who terror-bombed 7 countries in 8 years, sent special forces death squads to 135 countries, and staged coups in Honduras, Paraguay and Brazil — while waging war on humanity at home and abroad throughout his tenure;

The forever war-supporting European Union;

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons — a notorious imperial tool.

On October 6, the Nobel Committee awarded its peace prize to Ales Bialiatski, Russia's Memorial Group and Nazified Ukraine's so-called Center for Civil Liberties — notions 2 US-installed regimes banned.

Announcing the 2022 awards, the Nobel Committee defied reality as follows, saying:

This year's honorees "represent civil society in their home countries (sic)."

"They have for many years promoted the right to criticize power and protect the fundamental rights of citizens (sic)."

"They made an outstanding effort to document war crimes, human right abuses and the abuse of power (sic)."

"Together they demonstrate the significance of civil society for peace and democracy (sic)."

Bialiatski "devoted his life to promoting democracy and peaceful development in his home country (sic)."

The Russian Memorial Group was "harass(ed) (sic) (and) stamped…as a foreign agent," then closed down by court order in December 2021.

Ukraine's so-called Center for Civil Liberties ignored regime war crimes, while inventing fantasy Russian ones in "collaboration with (US/Western) international partners."

This year's Peace Prize honorees are worlds apart from "champions of human rights, democracy and peaceful co-existence in…Belarus, Russia and Ukraine (sic)."

Fact: Bialiatski supported made-in-the-USA opposition against Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's overwhelming August 2020 reelection triumph.

US-supported imperial tool opposition candidate, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, was legitimately trounced.

At the time, Sergey Lavrov accused anti-Lukashenko elements in the country of (made-in-the-USA) violence leading to bloodshed.

In 2016, Russia banned the so-called Memorial human rights group for operating as a foreign agent.

Ukraine's Center for Civil Liberties supports the regime's Nazified rule, its aggression against Donbass civilians and Russia's liberating SMO.

The Nobel Committee's Peace Prize award to the group expresses support for US-orchestrated and directed Kiev regime "war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide" — false accusations it made against Vladimir Putin.

On October 6, the Committee once again bypassed legitimate champions of peace and the rule of law in favor of US imperial tools.
