I'm ambivalent about Syria. Yes, a minority of quasi-Shiites run it, and if/when the Sunnis unite against it it's doomed. On the other hand, who wants Sunnis running it? On the other hand, Assad backs the horrible Hezbollah outfit that wants to exterminate Israel and/or the U.S., like he does. On the other hand, maybe Iran will be drawn into a Stalingrad there, resulting in its destruction. Maybe the Arab sheiks with cooler heads will prevail, eliminating Iran and Hezbollah and making some kind of peace with Israel and the U.S. and calling it quits in return for not doing the obvious and nuking Mecca. In all this, Lendman's Moscow-backed analysis is irrelevant, because he's stuck on stupid.
