Still, it is an unwise decision. The wise decision is to quit now and solidify support behind Romney to defeat Obama. It is inevitable anyway that Ron Paul is going to drop out, as he ALWAYS does every time he runs for president for almost twenty years now. Dropping out of the race is always certain for Ron Paul -- it is not something people expect that he might NOT quit, because he always quit, at least for two reasons:
[1] RP supporters always declare when Paul is losing, that he was not there to win but only to plant the seeds of radical protests against the Government in the name of his own controversial version of liberty and freedom that only his supporters -- revolutionary Libertarians on the fringe -- are excited about, when the truth is, the American people find him and his protests rather strange or odd, to say the least.
To cite just a couple of examples of the many strange and odd ideas Ron Pul espoused are his weird vision, as a self-proclaimed constitutionalist and economist, to recreate America without a Central Bank and without income tax [abolish the Federal Reserves and the Income Tax]; and in international affairs, cut off the United States’ global leadership and turn the country into a virtual recluse. Americans found this incredibly bizarre ideas unacceptable, to say the least!
[2] The second reason why he always quit in the race is that he is an "unelectable" candidate for president, and he knows it. The Main Stream Media, the people and the GOP had never considered him a good material in the list of candidates to ever win the presidential election at all, that is why he is always ignored, snubbed, flouted and any vote in the Republican caucus and primaries is "erase" or doctored to see to it that he will never win by accident.
These are some of the reasons why I am very definitive in my constant declaration -- for his marginalized supporters and backers to know -- that contrary to their delusional belief, Ron Paul can NEVER, NEVER become President of the United States EVEN IF THE CROW TURNS WHITE.
But for Ron Paul to quit at this juncture of the GOP presidential nomination race is appropriate and wise. To win votes in order to defeat Obama is not as easy as picking apples. All Government facilities are under his own disposal and he will use them to kick Romney in the ass.
Romney needs the help of all Republicans if the Republican Party wants to go back to power. But the Republicans will never make it if Ron Paul and supporters continue to weaken Romney by attacking him left and right, instead of dropping off the race and throwing that needed support behind Romney.
But Ron Paul and supporters are revolutionary Libertarians, not Republicans. They don’t care if the Republicans will not make it in the 2012 presidential election. Their priority objectives are at least not similar to if not incompatible with that of the GOP.
Besides, a wise fool never exists. There is no such thing.
