After CNN’s Kitty Pilgrim, filling in for host Lou Dobbs, thoroughly debunked the “birther” conspiracy — which suggests, entirely without tangible proof, that President Barack Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen — Dobbs returned to the airwaves July 20, amazingly suggesting “the [birthers'] questions won’t go away because they haven’t been dealt with.”

“Obama never provided his birth certificate,” she suggested. “What he provided is certification of live birth that was issued last year that does not have the name of the doctor, does not have the name of the hospital, does not have any signatures.”

Ooooooh, shit!  I just realized that my own two kids, who were born in New Jersey, may also be from Nigeria because their birth certificates say "CERTIFICATE OF LIFE BIRTH" and they don't have the doctors' names, the hospital's name and they have no signatures on them!

WTF?  Why hasn't somebody pointed out to these morons that what they are describing IS a birth certificate?  WTF? WTF?  WTF?  How dumb can anyone really be?

No worries, Lucky Red ... unless your kids were born in Hawaii. In that case, you would have received a birth certificate based on the hospital information -- the long form one everyone has been talking about.

Apparently your kids were born somewhere where actual verification of birthplace and time weren't considered important. Kinda handy, and I'll bet Obama wished his momma knew back then about the situation you enjoyed!

As it is, Obama only has a Certification of Live Birth, which is available to native Hawaiians and foreign-born children alike upon application by basically any adult who wants to swear to the time and place of some kid's birth.

Running a tight ship, there....
