No, this is not true.

There is no SB2099.  2099 does not exist.  Senate bills do not have a B - it would be called S.2099 if it existed.

Snopes makes no mention of SB2099, the IRS, or 1040 forms.  It talks only of HR45, which does exist and is certainly tyrannical.  But HR45 has been known for a long time.

SB-2099 existed, but in 2000, not 2009. It went nowhere.

H.R. 45: "Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009" does exist, however, and is of real concern to gun owners. See the links in the article for information. 

Best source of info on pending federal legislation is thomas.loc.gov. According to that site, H.B. 45 has had no action since 2/9/2009, and has no cosponsors. A bill supported by only one congers-critter which has had no action for almost 7 months is going nowhere. Keep an eye on it, but it is almost certainly a dead letter.

 As far as SB 2099 goes... No need to panic. it was introduced in February of 2000 and sent to the Finance Committee where it has basically died on the vine. That's not to say it will not be resurrected some day, so we need to be keeping a close eye on it, but like I said, no need to panic. If they ever do run something like that through it will be a great excuse to stop filing a Federal Income Tax Return.

I get most of my information from the Net. Obama has decided to try to establish a power move on it as well. Yes, the Net. The right to shut down certain parts of the network that he deems a threat, which could include anything from what I have seen of his antics so far.

If the basic right to communicate and exchange ideas which are given to each and every US citizen as a "given" by the Constitution is breached all I can say is that we may at any time have a website such as this one taken down by the freak or one of his pet freaks.

I guess by now most people are sick of Obama...I'm glad I voted for McCain although he might have been just as manic as Obama has become we at least wouldn't have so many Bills thrown at us at once that some get passed under the rader.

I wish there was a way to impeach him out of office before he completely destroys the country I love so much.

I hate to say it but I think we have all been thinking the same thing on most websites. If something doesn't change soon we may have a 2nd revolution on our hands. It's just my opinion and I'm entitled to it. I will not act upon it but I will express my concerns that the unrest that is being created is becoming alarming.

I'm not trying to glamorize it or say I would be supportive. All I'm saying is, I'm shocked that "We the people" have allowed "they the crooked and power hungry" to get away with as much as they have already gotten away with. Of course part of the problem is the collaboration of "they the crooked" with certain corrupt civilian sectors...it is hard to really be cut and dry about how all this mess is entangled and the degrees to which it is.

A good machinist can make a gun!  We allowed our lawyers, judges and politicians to act like an organized Mafia group.  A legal reform act should be passed before a health bill reform.  We allowed our legal and political groups to police their own and lightly punish them with a feather after they turn into a criminial society. When caught in lies, cheating on their taxes or swindling clients or the American people, nobody really holds them accountable or if they are punished it's usually so minor it's laughable.  Once upon a time our laws were made simple by common people, now have turned into volumes of mumble jumble case law with a large retainer price tag.  A sharp shooter kills effectively with one bullet at a time.  A gun is a gun and it only takes one fatal shot to kill someone.  Same as a knife, if you cut the person in a vital areas it doesn't matter how big the knife was.   Chasing ghosts called terrorists is like predicting the future who is going to snap and go postal.  Perhaps in a sci-fi movie such as the minority report and if you were Tom Cruise and had a 3 human pods who can predict the future.  Teach terrorists a lesson?  Most of these terrorists are teaching us a lesson after they blow themselves up and take out a dozen or more innocent people with them.  Unless there is a magic crystal ball I don't know about, nobody knows who is nuts or not.  Look at the famous serial killers, some were scout leaders, married with children, handsome and held down a job, they were your next door neighbor for god sake!  Strangulation and knives were used more than guns.  Tax the tobacco products, alcohol, guns and then what?  People don't stand together like they did in the 60's and those who form a compound fear tanks will show up in their front yard and blow them up.  Unless millions and millions are willing to say enough is enough and go to Washington at once and show power in huge numbers, huge groups.....................YOU ARE JUST VENTING!  Gore vs. Bush made it clear our Supreme Court will dictate to us who will be our president over popular vote!  Right or Wrong, nobody is around to hold them accountable when they screw up.   Without legal reform it will get worse.   But it won't happen because the majority of our politicians are lawyers, judges were lawyers and lawyers stick up for other lawyers and most won't file a case against any of them.   It's an organized group manifested throughout the years that would make Scilia smile in Mafia pride!  The AMA and disciplinary boards are a joke...........if you took the ratio of consumer complaints compared to those actually acted upon, the number of lawyers who are disbarred or jailed is so small you wonder why anyone bothers filing a complaint.  LEGAL REFORM FIRST AND HEALTH CARE REFORM LAST!  Our political and legal system is like a run away train and nobody seems to know how to stop the mad-ness!  It's a money making racket that scares the yellow right out of most cowards!  The American people fear their own government!   Germany and Hitler knew and taught most how to do this and it's working in America!  When 911 happened showed it, first red alert, then down to yellow then up to orange then red again and then down.  Scared the hell out of ya didn't it?  It worked! :)   .......When people start fighting over road killed animals for food or back alley dumpsters maybe then it will be effecting  those in power, because they sucked every last dime out of us and there is no more.   I hope they have survival skills besides a law book .........because I'm not sharing my dumpster with any of them or fresh road kill..........oh I forgot it's illegal in some states to remove a dead animal off the road after it's been hit..........so don't get caught gathering up supper for stew meat!  Politicians who get away with the word sorry or a simple public apology is getting lame and redundent!   Sorry nor an apology doesn't fix their stupidity or greed.  Criminal charges against former N.Y Gov.
