The commie is ordering them to be trained that way. Commies have infiltrated our CIA, FBI and every phase of our protective branches in order to have them turn on us when he declares martial law. He's got it all in place now to take us over and stay in power. Who knows - the OWS group may be his civilian army in training to take over the streets when he calls for martial law. Plus he will call out UN soldiers and National Guard and probably Chavez's army to take control of Americans. He has it all planned out and doesn't intend to step down, no matter what.

I am glad you ask. You ask why? It’s because you are your own worst enemy! The war you wage within is more deadly than that of our foreign enemies. Domestic policing of local communities is an absolute necessity, and rarely are your protests peaceful. The armed might of the State is absolutely necessary to see to it that you do not win this war.

Private Parks, private squares (Malls etc.), private land, privately owned land and schools and buildings and sidewalks and roads and and and. help make it very clear what the role of local police is.
As the Economy continues to erode, the "Public Lands" are going to be swept of anyone trying to survive 'off grid'.

They (I) protest damn near everything! Almost NOTHING the government does is truly in our interest anymore. The few decent actions Congress takes are contingent upon a nasty law or regulation being attached TO it. Someone always gets screwed.
Certainly some protestors are misguided or have no goals or are even contrary to your (my) way of thinking! Point is that these "movements' are indicative of big problems and DO help to awaken some of the ignorant,blind,uncaring,fatalistic masses to what is really going on in the world. More folks will get thinking and may actually see and understand the situation.
Know what? Most of these protests are not organized and have no common goals--as mentioned by many people.
Ever think that this means MANY individuals are saying to themselves "hey,I'm not happy with things...I need to speak up "!!

When I first put on a badge we felt our duty was to serve and protect the people of our community. Over the years I have watched that duty swing to one of police being used to control the people - and they use ever greater force, and more readily so, to effect that control; SWAT teams used to serve simple warrants - Tasers, once used on rare occasion, now used daily, out of laziness or incompetence - Suspects, some as young as 15, shot 10 to 20 and more times - Police 'orders' have become the Law Of The Land - Shaved headed snearing police walking about looking more like military commandos in black combat fatigues - and the list goes on. Police, once feared by the criminal are now becoming more and more feared and distrusted by the people.
Abuse by the police has always existed to some extent, and was often punished when found out, but more and more it has become protected by those who govern, and that increasing abuse isn't likely to abate until the people push back with equal force - a sad scenario.

It should be asked, 'Was this OWS put together by the US government for the sole purpose of bringing in a new law, S.1867?' Everyone knows that the government sends in goons to cause disruption in peaceful demonstrations to make it look like the demonstrators are causing the rioting, which gets out of control causing a police crackdown. So why not having started this OWS to get the dissenters out of the woodwork, make them look bad in the general publics eye, and wham-o, you get S.1867 somehow already written up and ready to go before congress to be passed. The article misses the point: the cops are doing what they are doing because they can. It's been so long since anyone seriously brought law enforcement to task for their systemic violations of human and civil rights that those violations, and the philosophy that encourages and supports them, have become the standards of operation for many individual police and for their departments.
On the other hand, what they are doing is PRACTICE.
And, on the other hand, they don't know what else to do; since they are so poorly trained and so poorly manned (an officer's mental status is as critical to proper police work as his/her physical abilities and skill sets), and unable to perform in a professional, efficient,and effective manner, they tend to revert to the simple-minded, theug-type responses to threats - real or imagined.
Make no mistake, the government is counting on "locall law" to function as a front-line deterrence force, when they finally get around to openly enslaving all of us. Cops probalby don't understand it, but they are being played. Of course, many of the misfits with badges are probably savoring their presumed coming opportuniies to further abuse people and exercise their "superior" status; all with the blessing of the feds, of course.
All of this is happening because we've been sold out by the traitors in what passes for "congress". Get used to it; it's far too late to do anything to reverse the trend.
