The tagline and first paragraph is worded to reflect the ORIGINAL language and not the bill that actually passed. 

It should read "The California state assembly has passed a new law that will be prohibit the selling or displaying items with an image of the Confederate flag BY THE STATE.

Individuals are still free to buy, sell, or sport what they desire - as long as it isn't 'on State Land'.

Sounds like a 'Flag Party' to me!
