Intimidating witnesses that would hurt a prosecutors case is standard procedure throughout the nation by all its police depts. A pounding at the door by detectives to make sure you understand the penalties for perjury and obstructing and interfering occurs on ALL defense witnesses. Insinuations that you must have been involved in the crime or conspired with the accused afterwards . . . has a way of shutting you up.
