Though I agree with the thrust of your article, I must take issue with: "No actual Russian hacker would attack from a Russian address." This really is a baseless claim. As a network administrator, I am continually besieged by hacking attempts from addresses in mainland China; I can pretty much assure you these aren't being initiated by Mossad or the KGB.
