"Israel and Palestine represent the birthplace of both peoples. (Israel's) founding fathers extend(ed their) hand to all neighboring states and their peoples in an offer of peace and good neighborliness." 

Wrong. Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Arabia was the birthplace of the Arab people, who invented ISLAM, which is dedicated to the complete INEQUALITY of social and political rights for Muslims over all non-Muslims, and for men over women. Sorry, but displaying your tolerance of the intolerance isn't smart, it's suicidally dumb. Any "Israeli intellectual" that thinks he can change the tiger's stripes and have it suckle his infants is in lala land, or maybe was kicked in the head by a horse as an infant.

A realistic thinker would recognize that unless/until Arabs abjure and throw off Islam, Israel is in mortal danger, and also recognizing the last 2,000 years of Jewish history where they were forced to become wanderers without a homeland only to suffer the Holocaust seek to gain U.S. and other military backing to finish the job they started of resettling all Muslims far away in the vast Arab territories, asking for Saudi financial support and a bloodless outcome. Only a Saudi sycophant like Lendman churns out this endless yellow journalism that is just work for hire by those turd brains dedicated to destroying Israel for Bloody Allah.

The real history of Israel and Jerusalem can be scoped by anybody anytime right in their browser with the help of the Historyscoper, the world's best history teacher. Maybe some Israeli intellectuals would get off their high horses sometime.
