 Mr. Wrights:

With 15 million unemployed Americans and another 7 million underemployed and 43 million Americans subsisting on food stamps as well as our schools disintegrating because of free breakfast and lunch programs for immigrants and a cost of $346 billion annually for illegal immigrants--I submit that we do not need a single added immigrant to our already overloaded country.  Our cities are already overloaded, polluted, gridlocked and infrastructures failing.   You failed to mention that we will add a projected 70 million immigrants legally within 25 years, but they come from cultures of poverty, illiteracy and total unpreparedness for a first world country. And, sir, what happens when their numbers overwhelm us environmentally as to water, resources and energy?  You need to go back to the drawing board and understand simple math. You cannot continue to immigrate millions of people into a finite landmass. It's not about space, it's about carrying capacity and we are already over extended beyond comprehension.  The more people we add the less for everyone on every level.  Kenneth Boulding said, "The only people that think we can keep growing on a finite planet are madmen and economists."  I suspect you fit that description. Your paradigm does not fit reality in the 21st century.   We need to suspend all immigration and encourage those people to correct their own countries by their brains, wits and choices. www.frostywooldridge.com

Great commentary on illegal immigrants. Libertarians should own this issue. Our approach is the most compassionate and realistic.

Only "madmen" would think the world would end because Earth’s carrying capacity, food and energy are limited. The truth that the ignorant didn’t know is that these are LIMITLESS. You can read how they lie, here Immigration & Population Lies That Our World Will End Should Be Exposed Written by bakadude. Date of Letter: 2010-11-03Written by Date of Letter: 2010-11-03

For the information of population scarecrows, as of today, it would take more than 290 million years for human beings to occupy existing space on this planet. And that would not even happen because population growth scales down when it reaches a certain saturation point. Alternative energy is limitless for as long as planet Earth and the Sun stay where they are now in our still unexplored Universe. More than 70% of Earth is water that recycles in solid, liquid and gaseous form regardless of the manner it is used. [Excerpts from Part I. Understanding The World’s Unlimited Resources published in Ltr. To the Editor, November 5, 2010.]

Technology or food production through "photosynthesis" would feed "1,000 billion people" on Earth. De Wit. See Earth Carrying Capacity …Joel E. Cohen [507 pages].

End of the world whackos, like in the Bible’s Rapture that went kaput, are disillusioned the world didn’t end on May 21, 2011 as they anticipated! But those scare-mongers are so delusional they couldn’t stop scaring people if only to cure this continuously worsening anti-population neurosis.

We are all against illegal immigration. But beating illegal immigrants this way is like beating a dead horse. It won't cure this anti-immigrant psychosis. It won't cure one's depression or drive away this population phobia.
