• Lew RockwellMarriage licenses came about in the late 19th century to prevent mixed-race marriages. That should be appalling to anyone, and is in my opinion the strongest argument to privatize marriage.
Of course, then there is American Renaissance magazine, which has all kinds of REAL, logical reasons why avoiding interracial marriages is desirable... along with some more archaic ones. BUT... the best idea is to keep Government out of it. The moment Government steps in, FREEDOM starts to "step out."
