I have many issues with this editorial.

For one it does not address the useless war on drugs that is a complete waste of billions a year. The prohibition of cannabis and other drugs have been as successful as the prohibition of alcohol in terms of increasing crime.

Illegal immigrants ARE NOT an issue as there are very few American citizens willing to work the fields even if you paid them minimum wage. Let them work if they can get by with gift cards for Wal-Mart and extremely low wages. If you noticed, there are billions of dollars of produce in Georgia alone that will not be picked this year due to legislation against them.

The free breakfast and lunch in school thing tends to actually be given to US citizens who are living in poverty. Very little goes to illegal alien children because most schools require proof of citizenship in order to attend. The only other time they get free food is due to charities and charitable people.

Free Trade is a DAMN GOOD thing. The main reason we lost jobs to the other nation is that the dollar has become worthless to the point that minimum wage does not cover necessities of living. The dollar has been devalued too much making higher wages needed increasing costs overall. The Chinese Yen might seem weak, but considering there is a growing middle class shows that Yen is stronger than most expect and that a small amount of it goes a decent distance versus what it did a few years ago.

The community service ideas sound great, but unfortunately, there isn't a need for that many people doing community service. In addition, SS needs to be abolished and everyone needs to learn how to save money, invest properly, and understand what an IRA is.
