Clean and oil your weapons.

    This isn't the first nor the last time. Many people believe that this is all very necessary - for "public safety". "Public safety" is the farthest thing from the hearts and minds of the low-life smucks who engineer this crap.

     I used to wonder why Denver was such a "choice" venue for these "cowboys and citizen" games. Then, I got my hands on a 70s-version of the Defense Department map that pinpointed the nuclear-threat targets in the continental U.S. The entire front range of the Colorado Rockies is a blur of potential targets that supposedly were of interest to the Russians. (It's also obvious that besides having been prime targets for Soviet missles, the Airforce Academy, Cheyenne Mountain, and Fort Carson complexes were and are prized assets relating to any form of national "police action" or upheaval.)

     For those who refuse to believe that there is any possibility that the "government" would ever use it's SA and SS troops to deal with American citizens - check out the Civil Rights Movement and the body count at Kent State - try to find a honorable Special Forces, Seal, or Marine Recon officer (there are many of them) and ask what that person knows about the military concept of "going domestic".

      If wasting money was all this was about, we could count our blessings.
