US LAWMAKERS BLAST PLANS TO FIGHT DISEASE SPREADING FROM NY ISLAND

AP: Several lawmakers blast a proposal by the Homeland Security Department to move research of a highly infectious animal disease from isolated Plum Island in New York to a site on the U.S. Mainland. A study says the public may be at risk.
