Suns of Liberty Mint is a passion turned business. In 2010 Dave Breger, aka “Silver Dave”, realized the importance of precious metals and started stacking. While building his precious metals collection Dave became more and more curious about the minting process. It wasn’t long before Dave was melting his own silver collection and therefore founding the Suns of Liberty Mint.

Handmade .1 Sun

At that time Suns of Liberty Mint was simply called “Suns of Liberty” and it specialized in only hand crafted items, particularly the .1 Sun. Production was being ran out of Dave’s apartment (and the neighbor’s garage) with sub adequate equipment and machinery. Despite the unusual work environment and learning curve for melting precious metals Suns of Liberty was still able to produce over 15,000 hand made pieces. And every single one was sold or traded.

 

In the past we’ve done some giveaways and now we’re going to do them WEEKLY! That’s right, each week we’ll give away 1 ozt  of Suns of Liberty Mint’s “Fine Silver Quarters” to the person who can guess the close of spot each Friday at 5pm.

How to do you enter? Easy, simply click on Suns of Liberty Mint’s Facebook page, like it, and seek out the pinned post (should be at the top of our timeline). Leave your guess each week as a comment on the pinned post and you’re entered.

Each Friday around 5pm SoLM will announce the close of spot and the winner via our FB page.

 

Some basic rules: 

- Only one guess per person

- All guesses end on Thursday morning 10 am (eastern time)

- Closest WITHOUT going over is winner.

- No ties, winner is first to post guess.

- SoLM reserves the right to change or modify these rules as needed
