House passes new surveillance law

The House easily approved a compromise bill setting new electronic surveillance rules that shield telecommunications companies from lawsuits arising from the government's warrantless eavesdropping on phone and computer lines in this country.

Gosh, that was fast! I guess the world's most deliberative body didn't have much of a debate before voting to betray the nation . . . yet again.
