Freedom Communications, Inc. announced today that Scott Flanders, its president and chief executive officer since January 2006, has resigned to take the CEO post at Playboy Enterprises, Inc.

The funniest bit of news I've heard yet about the impending sale of PLAYBOY is that apparently Richard Branson's VIRGIN Enterprises is very interested.

Can't you just see the headlines now?!
