Government uses all kids of reasons to justify taxation and regulation, but all that aside, I was just totally appalled and disgusted at the depths they’ve gone to in Colorado.

Awe come on Christine, it only $20. Surely people who are getting married can afford to pay for the government to intervene when a few years later they are having problems (mostly caused directly or indirectly becuase of governmental intervention and want to kill each other.

Here is the trick don't get mariage license. Why would anyone want to be married is beyond me. When a couple is getting a marriage certificate they are marrying the state FIRST and the partner second.

Wow! Look for these taxes next:

- a baby tax: to pay for child healthcare and CPS

- a condom tax: to pay for orphan care and STD programs

- a tampon tax: to pay for birth control programs

- a helmet tax, a seatbelt tax, regressive taxes on tire wear, life vest taxes...it can (and will) go on and on forever
