Pro-marijuana ad pushes pot as Calif. budget fix

• AP
A pro-marijuana group is launching another television bid to legalize pot in California — this time with the pitch that legalizing and taxing the drug could help solve the state's massive budget deficit.

The 30-second spot, airing Wednesday and paid for by the Marijuana Policy Project, features a retired 58-year-old state worker who says state leaders "are ignoring millions of Californians who want to pay taxes."

Yeah sounds like they figured the networks would turn down anything really fun.

I think the way to go is do ads for a fictitious weed store in downtown LA. Something like "Pete's Weed Store! Public invited, cash only, bring a friend!".

Here's the ad.

'Medical' reasons and now 'to raise money for teachers'??? Who advocates for "IT'S MY BODY"? Blah Blah Blah, I've heard it all before. It's like these advocacy groups are taken over to, in one way or another, turn over our rights to the collective. Watup wid 'dat?
