Wow! As Ernie would say. Besides the irony, you have a vision of the future of books and the government wet dream. With the push of a button any electronic book can be altered or deleted from the "libraries" of everyone around the world without notice, without permission, without care. It's a Brave New World indeed...ooops, did they delete that one too?
PS:For those who had their property deleted, I bet they are still present on your Kindles awaiting an unerase command from you.
