David Paterson on Thursday proposed lifting the sales tax on diet soda,
while adding a new "sugar tax" to full-calorie drinks, in a fresh bid
to boost revenue for the cash-strapped state.

I hate this term, "raise money". Raising money is what you do when you're asking for charitable donations or looking for investments in a new business. Making money is what you do when you're offering a product or service for sale. This is not either of those things, this is stealing money. The New York Governor wants to *steal* $815 million from soda drinkers because he can't cover his debts on the money he's already stolen from his other victims. Let's use the correct language, shall we?
