Al Qaeda weakens at Pak-Afghan border: Obama

• WorldTribunePakistan.com
WASHINGTON , Jul 17: US President Barack Obama has said Al Qaeda has weakened at Pakistan-Afghanistan border as a result of successful operation and now it is becoming hard for the militant organization to carry out big operations.

President Obama has said Al Qaeda has been forced to hunker down along Pakistan-Afghanistan border as a result of successful anti-terror efforts and now it is becoming hard for the militant organization to carry out big operations.

In an interview, Obama vowed sustained pressure on Al Qaeda operatives hiding in the region as he also observed that the organization is becoming stronger and dangerous in Yemen.

“Here’s what we’ve done. Part of the reason that an analyst would say that Al Qaeda’s stronger in Yemen than just about anywhere else is because we have actually been pretty successful at forcing Al Qaeda in the border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan to hunker down,” he told media.

“They have been pinned down. And it’s hard for them to carry out big operations. We’ve to keep that pressure up.” he added.

If those 50-100 are whipping our buts as badly as they clearly are...maybe if we just killed 25-50 more? Then our troops could move from 10,000:1 to 15,000:1 and we mights stand a fighting chance for a change. I guess we'll need to wait for the next 100,000 drone sorties to accomplish this feat. Dang, we sure do got ourselves an efficient armed forces. A lot of "BANG!" for our buck, alright.

According to the CIA and the Pentagon there is only 50-100 al-Qiada in Afghanistan! There ain't a whole lot of "weakens" left.
