Mutating swine flu virus might render vaccine useless

Health experts are rushing to stay ahead of a rapidly mutating H1N1 virus. Recently, reports have been issued that a swine flu breakthrough has occurred in the UK, Sweden and several other northern European countries. Of paramount concern is the possibility that previous efficacious vaccines developed to combat the deadly virus will become ineffective. Evidence is building that such is the case. Meanwhile the mutating forms of the virus has now reportedly appeared in more than 50 new forms—some much more virulent than others.
