Dept. of Defense to begin collecting and mapping genome of all military personnel

• therealnewsnow
A new report from a highly influential group of scientists is urging the Department of Defense to begin collecting and mapping the full genome of all military personnel. [1] Pentagon officials believe gene-mapping all military personnel could lower health costs within the military and help scientist learn a great deal about the link between fighting and genetics. So, “what’s the big deal, why does it matter?” The report sneakily inserted the possible idea of the weaponization of genetic information into the report. “It may be beneficial to know the genetic identities of an adversary,” it says. The Department of Defense will be in charge of the giant database housing the soldiers records and will likely benefit by organizing personnel data into phenotypes for the military.
