Obama is a political animal.  His chief concern is the next election.  I guess he didn't see what all the warning and harsh budget cutting suggestions from Volkner was going to do for his re-election.

Just remember he is vain and of weak character, and that didn't work out so well for America from the last occupant who was of like mind.
