• www.technologyreview.comYour phone number's area code gives other people a clue to where you live, or have lived in the past. Startup company Loc-Aid can use your full phone number to figure out exactly where you are right now.
The service has caught the eye of banks and card issuers interested in checking where their customers are—as a way to reduce fraud—and of retailers interested in sending deals to people nearby.

No surprise here. Smart Meters spy on your home, TV watches you, your car will rat on you in court. Pretty soon we'll all have federally mandated rectal monitors, implanted "cashless society"/healthcare microchips and electro-shock collars to assure Uncle Sam of our compliance. Of course, these things will be sold as being so convenient. The Luddites are having the last laugh in this matter. God bless the Amish... and help us "modern" families learn their self-sufficient wisdom in simple living.
