TSA officers jailed for stealing $40,000 in cash from a passenger's bag

• Daily Mail

Two former Transportation Security Administration officers based at John F. Kennedy Airport are going to jail after admitting to stealing $40,000 in cash from a checked bag.

The Queens District Attorney's Office says 44-year-old Coumar Persad, of Queens, and 31-year-old Davon Webb, of the Bronx, were sentenced on Tuesday to six months jail and five years' probation.

Both had pleaded guilty to grand larceny, obstructing governmental administration and official misconduct, the Associated Press reports.

 Is anyone surprised?

This is only a most recent and blatantly obvious example of why this country and the world are in sorry and dangerous disarray and facing immenet financial collapse:  This is a government program; created by government stooges and functionaries; implemented by the same incompetents; and THEIR SOLE RESPOBUBILITY!

Though nobody will listen to me, this is exactly why I say that "accountability" runs downhill and "blame" should run up. (That's right:  BLAME! It doesn't wash when whiny politicos snivel that it doesn't do any good to place blame or name-call. It does a world of good! We need to know who, how, and why failed policies exist; we have a RIGHT to be informed, as to who wasted our money, violated our rights, and ruined our lives! The reason we need to know is so we can see to it that the GUILTY part(ies) are never allowed to screw us over, again!

There are a bunch of social and intellectual misfits working in government, and in government jobs. Most of them wouldn't be stealing from and abusing the taxpayers if some idiot politician or G-12 didn't initiate, staff, and mismanage a boondoggle program of some sort - usually without any real oversight, accountability, or BLAME!
