Eight people killed, five wounded in northwest Pakistan

At least eight people including five militants have been killed and five others were injured in two separate incidents of violence in northwest Pakistan.

In the first incident, militants attacked security forces convoy in central tehsil of Kurram Agency on Wednesday and they injured two security personnel.

Just after the attack, security forces retaliated and killed five militants.

In the second incident, at least three people were killed and three others injured when two armed tribesmen of Hurmez and Moski tribes clashed in a bus stand in Miranshah, main town of North Waziristan Agency in the region.

Meanwhile, security forces have arrested six suspects, including three most wanted militants from the troubled region.
