Etna runs violent, hurls lava and ash into sky (VIDEO)
• http://rt.comEurope's highest and most active volcano, Mount Etna has erupted for
the sixth time this year from a new crater on its south-eastern slope.
Situated on the southern Italian island of Sicily, Etna has run riot this
year, although it’s never quiet for long, usually erupting at least twice a
year.
The volcano has spewed lava three times in the past month, with
regular 12-day pauses.
Italian officials say the ash is not yet causing problems for the nearest
international Fontanarossa airport near Catania, the usual victim of
Etna’s activity.
