If You Thought Todays Airport Is Bad Just Look At What The Future Holds

06-21-2012  •  http://govtslaves.info, Bart Jansen
At a terminal being renovated here at Love Field, contractors are installing 500 high-definition security cameras sharp enough to read an auto license plate or a logo on a shirt.

The cameras, capable of tracking passengers from the parking garage to gates to the tarmac, are a key first step in creating what the airline industry would like to see at airports worldwide: a security apparatus that would scrutinize passengers more thoroughly, but less intrusively, and in faster fashion than now.

It’s part of what the International Air Transport Association, or IATA, which represents airlines globally, calls “the checkpoint of the future.”

And we will love them for it!  After fattening us up for over a decade with increasingly intrusive invasions to our dignity, conflicting nasty orders snapped at us from uneducated buffoons with authoritay, and arbitrary spur of the moment rejections, humiliations and intimidations; we will welcome, accept and indeed enthusiastically embrace the change to covert surveillance.

And wonder during our pleasant visits to the airport who are those people the well armed men in black are dragging off throughout the airport . . . and hoping it isn't our turn next.

The way-down bottom line is, you only get what you pay for.

One hundred years ago, if you wanted to travel from New York to San Francisco, it took a long time, and cost a pretty penny. Nowadays you can do it any time you want, relatively inexpensively, in a few short hours.

The price is too cheap. The Government owns the airports and the airlines through subsidies. If you want to travel fast, without Government intervention - at least not to the extent used by the TSA in the big airports - you need to pay more and fly private.
