Carob and mesquite pods are already beginning to ripen. Before they fall is the time to pick them--once they've hit the ground, they may be contaminated with mold or other undesirables. Join us to learn how to identify ripe pods, know when to pick them and learn how to store them until the fall milling event. Bring water, a hat, a pole to beat mesquite from the trees, a tarp or sheet, and a bucket to collect as many pods as you want until they run out!
