Glyph virtual retinal display leaps onto Kickstarter for $500

• dvice.com
Instead of using screens like the Oculus Rift, the Glyph virtual retinal display uses micromirrors and patented optics to project high-resolution images directly onto your retinas — without damaging your eyes. How insane is that? Guess what? Now, you can buy your own Glyph through Kickstarter.

The last time we checked in Avegant's virtual retinal display was in October when it was still a prototype; literally looking like a bunch of circuit boards glued onto a pair of goggles. Since then, Avegant's finalized the design, which resembles a pair of headphones with a flippable headband that houses the projectors.
