Poughkeepsie Mayor John Tkazyik quit the 2006 organization immediately then blew the whistle on the organization by publishing a denouncement in his town newspaper.

From there the defections spread and the story went viral.

MayorsAgainstIllegalGuns.org BACKPEDALED QUICKLY by scrubbing the site membership list to attempt to HIDE the departures and (of course) HIDE the existing mayor-members.

But that won't work.
