Elephants Are Even Smarter Than We Realized

A couple weeks earlier a team of researchers led by Diana Reiss and Preston Foerder, then at City University New York, had visited Kandula’s home at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. And actually, we haven't lost mind-to-mind contact. In fact, we are using it all the time. The reason that we don't recognize it is that we are too busy thinking about a whole host of things to sort out which of our almost subconscious thoughts and feelings come from the outside, and which are basically our own.

Stand in a long line at the supermarket sometime, and get good and bored. Then concentrate on the person next in line, "willing" him/her to move ahead. Practice a little, and watch the results you get.
