State of Air’ report is downright frightening; Did your city make the list?

Fifty percent of Americans still live with unhealthy air, according to the American Lung Association’s annual “State of the Air” report.

The “State of the Air 2014″ report reveals that while the U.S. continues to reduce particle pollution, poor air quality remains a major public health concern and a changing climate endangers efforts to protect human health.

The report also shows that levels of ozone were much higher than in the previous year’s report.

“We are happy to report continued reduction of year-round particle pollution across the nation, thanks to cleaner diesel fleets and cleaner power plants,” remarked Harold Wimmer, National President and CEO of the American Lung Association, in a statement.
